Webbie claims 50 Cent owes him $1 million after winning a bet surrounding a boxing match from last week in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, the Louisiana native saw 50 during the lightweight title bout between Terence Crawford (who is a friend of Webbie) and Yuriorkis Gamboa (who is managed by 50 Cent) and asked him if he’d lay a million on the line for his client. Webbie says 50 agreed, however when the fight was over he didn’t pay up.
“I say 50, what’s happening? I say I got a mil on my dawg,” Webbie recalls in a video obtained by TMZ. “Go look it up, HBO. I say I got a mill on my dawg, what!”
Crawford defeated Gamboa with a ninth round knockout in the fight. 50 Cent has had a long involvement with boxing. The Queens native was a long-time supporter of Floyd Mayweather until they fell out. He was granted a promoter license in late 2012 and recently celebrated his birthday with a birthday boxing bash with SMS on ESPN.
