Lil Wayne Releases “Krazy” From Tha Carter V

Continuing a trend of athlete-led promotion, Chris Paul’s Twitter account served up Lil Wayne’s latest single on Thursday. Produced by Infamous, Wayne shows up for a solitary four verses. Delivering the ‘Tunechi’ laced hook himself, Wayne kicks off the second verse like two of the others. “Tell me something I don’t know,” he raps, “I’ll tell you something I do know / Like money, drugs, bitches, guns, niggas call me mucho.”

Last month, Wayne detailed what fans can expect from the planned full-length.

Tha Carter V is about growth, flat-out,” he said. “My thoughts are wiser. I still say what I want to say—it just sounds better and makes more sense. That all comes with growth and maturity.

“I never try to send messages through music,” he added. “Music is about self. It’s supposed to be personal, a reflection of me, unless you have somebody writing it for you, and everybody know I’m not that artist. I’m not sending a message because that message may not get across. Whatever message you take from it is your choice.”

Super Hood Enlists Tyga & Lil Wayne

Super Hood has a mixtape on the way and the Dallas based artist has released his latest single with some Young Money support. With Weezy showing up behind a familiar Autotune, the track apparently received a placement on DJ Stevie J’s Appreciation 7 mixtape this week. Slated for Hood’s own Kitchen 24 mixtape, a tagless version of “Think I’m Lyin” followed close behind Wayne’s “Krazy” in timing and ranking.
