Tae Beast, Sounwave, Dave Free, and Willie B are among the beatsmiths featured in Myspace Music’s newly-published “Meet The Producers Who Helped Shape TDE’s Sound” feature story.

Described by Myspace Music’s Brian Josephs as “the minds crafting the sonic soundscapes,” TDE’s in-house producers have contributed to a number of TDE albums including Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city and Ab-Soul’s newly-released album, These Days…

In the Myspace Music feature, Josephs details Tae Beast’s chance meeting with Ab-Soul (thanks to fellow producer Curtis King), Sounwave’s work on Kendrick Lamar’s second studio album, Willie B’s production on K-Dot’s “Rigamortus,” and more.

Willie B spoke on his work on Section.80’s “Rigamortus” and how the song “catapulted” his career during an interview with HipHopDX in March 2013.

“[Kendrick Lamar’s] ‘Rigamortus’ catapulted me and gave me a platform where people could see who I was and it got me into certain doors,” the producer said. “Also getting the Wale record [‘Fa We We’] was pretty cool, it ended up being one of his favorite records [on recent mixtape Folarin].”

Other artists profiled in Myspace Music’s “Meet The Producers Who Helped Shape TDE’s Sound” feature are THC, King Blue, Skhye Hutch, and Wyldfyer.
