It seems that during the final week leading up to Christmas that Eminem’s Encore was the gift of choice. The latest album from Slim Shady pushed more than 429,000 copies to put him at the #1 spot on next week’s Billboard album chart, according to Soundscan. This is the third time in six weeks that Em has been #1. Because of all the last minute shopping, Encore has now cruised past the 3 million mark.

Destiny’s Child’s Destiny Fulfilled has been moving up the charts since debuting at a disappointing #19 back in November, reaching #4 on the chart and making a 30% increase in sales.

Tupac’s posthumous Loyal to the Game suffered from the Christmas rush. Sales of the album dipped by 33% after debuting at #1 a week ago he fell to #13. The only noteworthy debut this week, Mannie Fresh’s The Mind of Mannie Fresh, met the grinch and popped in at a dismal #59.
