Following the release of Young Thug’s debut single “Stoner” in October of last year, there has been much confusion surrounding the Atlanta, Georgia rapper’s label situation.
During a recent interview with Revolt, record executive Kevin Liles confirmed that Thug is in fact signed to his 300 label, which Complex reports is an imprint of Atlantic Records.
“Our business motto is this, if you’re out there taking risks, we wanna reward you with a great deal,” Liles said while speaking with Revolt. “There should be no cookie-cutter deal. There should be a smorgasbord of deals that we could do with entrepreneurs. We built a platform, similar to what we did with Roc-A-Fella, Murder Inc., Disturbing Tha Peace, Ruff Ryders, we just provided platforms for people to build companies.”
Prior to this week’s announcement, it was reported that Young Thug had signed with Cash Money Records. The rapper allegedly made the reveal while walking into a club with Birdman during NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans in February.

“Yeah,” Young Thug said, according to a Mass Appeal story published in February. “I signed.”
It was also rumored that Young Thug had signed with Gucci Mane’s Brick Squad Records. The rapper has appeared on several mixtapes and records pushed by the label.
In addition to Young Thug, Atlanta rap trio Migos have also reportedly signed with Liles, Todd Moscowitz, and Lyor Cohen’s 300 label.
