While hip-hop fans twiddle their thumbs waiting for an official release from Kurupt it seems as if the rapper has taken on another profession to pass the time…acting. Kurupt and David Carradine (nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Bill in Quentin Tarentino’s “Kill Bill”) will star in the urban Western flick titled “Click”.
The independent film is directed by Jean-Claude La Marre (“Gang of Roses”)and is set at the end of the Civil War. The flick follows a group of outlaws out to rob
the town bank in a lawless land. They run into trouble when a scheming cattle baron, a bounty hunter and a female sheriff stand in their way.
Even though it is set in the post Civil War era, “Click” will be driven by a hip-hop soundtrack featuring original songs by Kurupt. This isn’t the first time the former Dogg Pound member has been in front of the camera, he was featured in the 2002 cop drama “Dark Blue” with Kurt Russell. In the meantime, Kurupt is still signed to Death Row Records and preparing an album.
