One of the last albums to feature the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, “Osirus:
The Official Mixtape” is set for early 2005 release. Well known for being one of the founding members of the Legendary Wu Tang Clan, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, aka Dirt
McGirt, aka Osirus met an untimely demise stemming from a heart attack
on November 13th, 2004. He was 35 years old.
One week before his death, ODB completed the final vocal mix to “Osirus: The Official Mixtape”. This new release includes 14 new and never before heard tracks along with 3 bonus tracks. Production cameos include the legendary DJ Premier and the Heatmakers. There are also special appearances by Rahzel (The Godfather Of Noize), Ghostface, Baby Sham and Jae Millz.
Ol’ Dirty Bastard (Born Russell Tyrone Jones), alongside Rza (Born
Robert Diggs) and Genius (Born Gary Grice) were the original founding members of Wu-Tang. But it wasn’t until 1993 that the world got their first taste of Wu-Tang Clan when “Enter the Wu (36 Chambers)” hit the streets and became one of the most popular albums of the 1990’s.
Through the years to come, ODB became extremely popular due to his unique style and way of life. At times this way of life led him down the road of misfortune, but he remained one of hip-hop’s most popular and beloved figures.

All in all, Ol’ Dirty Bastard will forever be remembered as a genius often misunderstood. His creativity and style is unlike anything out there in the hip-hop world and will always be regarded as one of the most original MC’s of our time.
