Early next year hip-hop heads will get to hear new music from Ol’ Dirty Bastard when his new solo album hits the stores. This week ODB’s (also known as Russell Jones) mother Cherry Jones and his manager Jarred Weisfeld announced the formation of JC Records (Jarred Cherry Records) with the first release being “Osirus”. Along with “Osirus” which hits stores January 4th, JC Records also plans to release an album with artists that have been associated with ODB in March. “Dirty’s legacy will continue through this album, his music, his DVD and his clothing line for all eternity,” Jarred Weisfeld said. At the time of ODB’s death, he was hard at work on his first solo album to be released on Roc-A-Fella Records. It is now said that the untitled album will also be released separately early next year.

In other news, the Ying Yang Twins are back in the studio to work on their new album aptly titled “U.S.A. (United States of Atlanta)”. Production on the album will be done by DJ Smurf along with Lil Jon, Three Six Mafia, Timbaland, Mannie Fresh & KLC.
