Lil Boosie says his new double album, Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, is a standout body of work.
The Louisiana rapper calls the project “the best double-disc since [Tupac’s] All Eyez On Me,” in an interview with HotNewHipHop.
All Eyez On Me was released by Tupac Shakur in 1996. Several acclaimed double albums have been released since then, including The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death, Wu-Tang Clan’s Wu-Tang Forever, Bone thugs-n-harmony’s The Art of War and Nas’ Street’s Disciple.

Boosie also says the project reminds him of other Rap stars who were prominent in previous decades.
“I’m bringing that real quality music, what’s really going on in the world besides popping bottles and models and things like that,” he says. “That reality rap. That N.W.A, Geto Boys Rap, and people gotta feel it.”
In April 2014, Boosie addressed comparisons to Tupac.

“I feel Tupac [is] Tupac and Boosie [is] Boosie,” he said. “I think people do that because we both have heartfelt music that touch people heart. We both have similarities. I guess we both got in trouble, too, but I just feel it’s real music and a pleasure to be given that credit, but Tupac [is] Tupac and Boosie [is] Boosie.”
Also in April 2014, Boosie celebrated Touchdown 2 Cause Hell.
“It’s a classic,” he said at the time. “I ain’t wanna come home and play with the mixtape game, I wanted to come home and hit ’em hard, get that machine behind it, be successful and show the world.”
