In a recent interview on the Late Late Show, Suge Knight denied any involvement whatsoever in the VIBE Awards scuffle. He then went on to declare that Scarface was to be the next artist to join Death Row`s roster. Rumors have also been picking up that Petey Pablo is the latest addition to Suge`s team.
We reported awhile back that Lil Jon and Paris Hilton were to join forces for her debut album and apparently those rumors are true. Though Lil Jon has been busy with the East Side Boyz project and Hilton was tied down filming her movie “Pledge This!” the two still plan to hook up for a February release. Before Hilton left to film in Miami, Jon gave her four tracks to listen to. Hilton, under pressure to complete her album, said she’s chosen her favorite, a club song titled “That’s Hot.” According to Lil Jon, the song is not his classic crunk. Still, Hilton reportedly told the Atlanta-based rapper to soften the track to fit her musical style.
Even with the release of Destiny Child and Lil Jon albums, Eminem is still king of the mountain. After a full week, Billboard still shows how strong Eminem can be despite harsh criticism of his album Encore. The album pushed more than 870,000 copies during its second week in stores, making for a 10-day total of 1.5 million copies, according to SoundScan. Destiny Child‘s fourth album moved over 496,000 copies to take the #2 spot. The sales of Destiny Fulfilled can’t touch the more than 600,000 copies 2001’s Survivor sold in its opening week. Meanwhile, Lil Jon & the East Side BoyzCrunk Juice will land at #3 after selling more than 363,000 copies.
