The “retired” Jay-Z will once again find his way into record stores with the release of Collision Course. The album will be a collaborative effort with Linkin Park but won’t be anything new. As a matter of fact it is more of a mash-up effort merging vocals form The Black Album with LP songs. The thing is, Jay rerecorded the vocals with Linkin Park! And he’s supposed to be retired right? Be on the lookout for Collision Course November 30th.

Snoop Dogg’s upcoming R&G: Rhythm & Gangsta The Masterpiece has become a victim to internet leaks and bootlegging and will now be released on November 16th. That is the same day as Eminem’s Encore was planned to be released which causes a logjam for Interscope. Don’t be surprised if Encore is moved up because of the same reasons.

Da Brat has been under the radar as of late. But now she is scheduled to join the new cast of VH1’s “The Surreal Life” when it premieres in January 2005. The show has had a healthy buzz as of late and should be even more interesting for the new season when the likes of former WWE wrestler Chyna, Christopher Knight (“The Brady Bunch”), Vern Troyer (“Austin Powers”), model Marcus Schenkenberg and Adrianne Curry (America’s Next Top Model”) join the show. The 4th season of “The Surreal Life” premieres January 9th on VH1.
