According to Wyclef Jean, the citizens of the United States aren’t the only ones who are watching the presidential election very closes. His native homeland of Haiti has been plagued by violence in the last few weeks and Wyclef feels the change in government would help bring peace to the nation. “Everyone is watching the elections so close from here,” Wyclef said. “I think if Bush comes in power then there’s not too much of a negotiation with Haiti. It’s more like whatever he wants to do he just going to do it. I think if Kerry becomes president, he would bring peace. There would be a dialogue”. Wyclef is in Haiti promoting peace and planning a concert in December.
