Pharrell Lands Long-Term adidas Partnership

Pharrell Williams has entered into a long-term partnership with adidas, the brand announced today (March 27).

“Working with an iconic brand like adidas is such an incredible opportunity,” Pharrell says in a press release. “From the classic track suit, to growing up in Virginia wearing Stan Smiths, adidas has been a staple in my life. Their pieces are timeless. This is an exciting partnership for both me and for Bionic Yarn.”

Bionic Yarn is Pharrell’s textile company and is a part of The Vortex Project. The initiative works with Parley for the Oceans and uses plastic debris from the oceans and turns them into yarn and fabric.

Bionic Yarn will be used in some of Pharrell’s upcoming adidas Originals products. Pharrell Williams’ pact with adidas marks the brand’s first arrangement with a designer who owns their own textile company.

“I am truly thrilled to work with Pharrell,” says Dirk Schoenberger, Global Creative Director, adidas Sport Style Division. “He is a pop-culture icon that never fails to inspire, not just through his musical talent and craft, but through his many other interests. He is the perfect fit for the multi-faceted company that is adidas.”

The first adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams products are slated to debut Summer 2014.

    1. This goofy ass, “I got attention for wearing a big ass, corny ass, dumb ass hat, so I’m always going to wear it now” looking ass mother fucker.

    2. Its all about Nike or Adidas. Some of these bum rappers out here wearing fucking Reebok for a check.

    3. I quit working at shoprite to work online and with a little effort I easily bring in around $45 to 85 per/h. Without a doubt, this is the easiest and most financially rewarding job I’ve ever had. I actually started 6 months ago and this has totally changed my life…………http://x.co/4ALDP

    4. Fuck you Nike for not ditching your athlete policy and signing Kanye and Pharrell to deals. Such a mistake Adidas still sucks ass tho
