From magazines to running a record label, Damon Dash sees no reason not to continue on his pursuit to conquer every available market. Roc Digital is Dash’s first electronics company that will create products for every day consumers. The first product to hit the market will be a portable audio player titled the Rocbox. The Rocbox, which hits stores in late November, will be available in two different formats, 20 GB and a 256/512mb Flash memeory one, each at different costs. “I’m an entrepreneur by nature”, Dash told MTV. “I saw the opportunity and thought it would be a fun and innovative way to sell music”.

The Rocbox will offer Roc fans and exclusive treat that they won’t be able to get anywhere else. “There will be special edition s customized for Roc-A-Fella artists and any other artists that are interested, for that matter. We’ll be making more announcements regarding content in November”, he added. And as far as those rumors about Dash selling the Roc for $20 million? “I’m a businessman by nature, so the point of business is to build equity. If it makes financial sense, I’m open to hearing opportunities, but I will always run Roc-A-Fella”.
