Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” Remains At #1 For A Second Consecutive Week

Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” single is the #1 R&B/Hip-Hop single for a  second consecutive week. It sold 328,960 copies this week, up 31 percent from last week’s 251,560 copies. The song from the Grammy Award-winning Producer of the Year, is featured on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, is the lead single from his forthcoming G I R L album and has been on the charts for 13 weeks. It has sold 1,318,264 copies.

Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love” Jay Z Collaboration Enjoys 12 Percent Sales Bump

Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love” featuring Jay Z is the #5 single on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. It sold 109,356 copies, up 12 percent from last week’s sales of 97,552. The song, which Beyonce and Jay Z performed at the Grammys last month, has been on the charts for nine weeks and has sold 856,757 copies. Kanye West appears on a remix of the song and Game posted a video of his daughter singing the original version of the cut last month. 

Sales Of Young Thug’s “Stoner” Spike 108 Percent 

Young Thug, who announced last week that he’s signed to Cash Money, saw the sales of his “Stoner” single spike 108 percent this week. The cut sold 26,397 copies this week, up from 12,663 last week. That is the biggest sales bump among the Top 50 songs on the chart. Only August Alsina’s “Ghetto,” which sold 9,673 copies this week compared to 2,710 last week, a 257 percent increase, had a larger gain on the charts this week. “Ghetto” is the #52 song on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart.
