Over a month after G-Unit affiliate Mazaradi Fox was shot and killed in Queens, police have revealed that they do have a suspect in custody. According to the New York Daily News, cops made the announcement earlier today (February 11).

The suspect, 35-year-old Jamal Scott, was charged with second-degree murder and four counts of attempted murder and felony assault.

In addition to allegedly shooting and killing Mazaradi, real name Jamal Green, Scott also injured three other individuals who were in the SUV he targeted during the January 3 shooting.

Scott reportedly drove up to the SUV Mazaradi was seated in while in a dark Hyundai Sedan, clad in a ski mask and all black attire.

Although Mazaradi was never signed to the 50 Cent-led G-Unit Records, the rapper did have close ties with Fifty and those in G-Unit.

Following news of Mazaradi’s death, a statement was released on behalf of 50 Cent who expressed his condolences to the 42-year-old rapper’s family.

“50 Cent was in his New York studio and was saddened when he heard the news. He sends his condolences to Mazaradi’s family,” a rep for the rapper said.

Weeks prior to the fatal shooting, Mazaradi was reportedly released from prison after serving two years.
