Jay Z is expected to announce an agreement with Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, according to ESPN

“It is uncertain whether Jay Z would negotiate Suh’s next contract or simply help him with marketing,” ESPN writes about the potential announcement. “But whatever the arrangement, Jay Z is expected to be in Suh’s circle of advisers, according to sources.” 

Jay Z’s Roc Nation has a clientele that includes athletes CC Sabathia, Kevin Durant and Geno Smith, among others. 

Suh is set to begin the final year of his rookie contract as a member of the Detroit Lions and is slated to make $22.4 million against the team’s salary cap. He’s set to have a base salary of $12.55 million, as per the report.

Suh announced his departure from Relativity Sports in January, acknowledging that he was in search of new representation, according to ESPN.
