On October 5, Koch Records will release Chronic*les, a collection of ‘70s funk and soul tracks that inspired the classics Chronic (Dr. Dre) and Straight Outta Compton (NWA). Check out O.G. tunes from Donny Hathaway, Bill Withers, Isaac Hayes, Wilson Pickett, Parliament, Ben E. King and more.
Koch Vision and New No Limit are also dropping Decisions, the latest DVD from Master P on October 5. Written and directed by P and starring himself and his sons, Lil’ Romeo and newcomer Vercy Miller, Decisions follows Petey, an ex-con out on parole trying to set his life straight. Special DVD features include the music videos for “Why They Wanna Wish Death,” “Act a Fool” and “Them Jeans” /”Who Wants Some” from Master P‘s Good Side/Bad Side album.
Cormega’s back! After scoring a 2003 Source Award and being honored at the The Second Underground Music Awards, Cormega is set to re-release two of his classic albums, The Realness and The True Meaning — both for the price of one — on October 19. The limited edition will include a trailer from his upcoming DVD, new songs and a sneak preview from his highly anticipated Testament album (due out February 22 on Legal Hustle), which was recorded while he was signed to Violator/Def Jam Records.
