Ludacris seems to be picking up the pieces that Jay-Z left behind and is now doing the “one album per year” thing. Follow up one year after Chicken and Beer will be Luda’s next endeavor titled Red Light District. After burning up charts once again with his guest appearances, can Luda do it again? Survey says, more than likely, with special guests including DTP, Nate Dogg, Trick Daddy, DJ Quik and DMXRed Light District should be rather hot. Look out for the album November 23rd.
Who could have picked a worse time (again) for Memphis Bleek to drop an album? Once again, after his lackluster releases, the ROC has decided to drop Memph Man right in the midst of all the fire of the 4th quarter (Eminem, Xzibit, Snoop, Ludacris, Jay-Z and R Kelly, etc.). Why? I dunno. Maybe they’ve got it out for Bleek. Ah well…3,5,4 is scheduled to drop on December 7th and to make matters worse it won’t be entirely produced by 9th Wonder (as previous reports stated). 9th will be producing two tracks on the LP which should help somewhat. But you’ve gotta wonder…is this Memphis Bleek’s last stand?
Chingy has separated from DTP and manager Shaka Zulu and has opted to be managed by WCM (Kenneth Crear and Johnny White) in lieu of his November 16th sophomore release titled Powerball. The deal was completed as of last Tuesday and the management team plans to take Chingy to the next level.
