Soulja Boy has made headlines recently for different reasons. His records “Millions” and “We Made It (Remix)” featuring Drake have returned the Chicago native to some prominence in the rap game but his out of studio activities have also landed him a different kind of press.

Recently talking with DJ Whoo Kid, Soulja spoke about the recent headlines he’s been making. Regarding his newest song with Drake, Soulja reflected about “We Made It (Remix).”

“I just been in the studio working,” Soulja Boy said when asked about the record. “That was really like a intro record. Drake hit me and he was like, ‘Yo this is crazy.’ And we just put it out. The streets just been loving it. It’s crazy.”

Regarding his latest legal transgression, Soulja Boy said he feels targeted by the media because he’s famous and that his latest arrest wouldn’t have been made public had he been a “regular person.”

“It’s just being young and being successful,” he said about his most recent arrest. “I feel like, if I was a regular person, it wouldn’t get promoted in the media. Me and Bieber we were just chilling. We just young and having fun. They pulled over the Bentley, they pulled over the Ferrari. Why are they pulling us over in the first place? We just gone deal with it. All my fans that’s been rocking with me through everything I salute to y’all and appreciate the support.”

Soulja Boy was arrested in Los Angeles County on January 22 for carrying a loaded gun. He was originally pulled over for running a stop sign in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles.
