Making the transition from music to moves, 50 Cent is all set to star in his first major film role, The semi-autobiographical movie is titled “Locked and Loaded” and will have 50 Cent playing a former drug dealer who gives up his life in the streets to pursue a career in the music business. The film will be lead by Interscope and Geffen Chairman/CEO Jimmy Lovine and Eminem’s manager and the VP of Shady Records Paul Rosenberg.

This will be the second film by the duo who also had a major hand in producing Eminem’s debut movie “8 Mile” which was loosely based on his life. According to Billboard “8 Mile” has pulled in nearly $117 million in the US alone. “Locked and Loaded will be written by the “Sopranos” writer/executive producer Terence Winter and according to Paramount Pictures, will be released in theater’s nationwide in either 2005 or 2006. A soundtrack for the movie will also be released at the same time.
