Could we soon see the return of the “The Band”? P. Diddy says yes, but not with Dylan, Sara, Babs, Fred, Chopper or Ness. P. Diddy is bringing his highly rated show back to MTV as he searches for an all female R&B/hip hop group. P. Diddy will begin auditions for the group next month in New York with the show set to hit MTV next year. After two seasons, P. Diddy broke up Da Band and kept Young City (formerly known as Chopper) who he signed to his Bad Boy South label and Babs and Ness to his Bad Boy label. Da Band has sold over 569,000 copies of their debut album “Too Hot for TV”.
Before hitting the tour circuit next month, Jay-Z and R. Kelly have plans to re-release their album debut album together. Having released their album with no promotion due to legal troubles, the duo surprised hip-hop heads by announcing an unexpected tour. “The Best of Both Worlds: Unfinished Business” will feature several new tracks. The album should hit stores next month.
