It appears that Virginia rapster Pusha T is doubling back on information shared earlier this month in regards to a possible Clipse reunion. While speaking with DJ Heat, Pusha revealed that he never leaked any information about a Clipse reunion album.
“I never leaked anything about the Clipse,” he said. “I didn’t do that. All I did was tell everybody I was in the studio for 20 days with Pharrell and Chad. And then there was a leak that happened and other people just found out that other people were down. But I wouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t do that. So, right now I’m on my Pusha T right now. I don’t wanna mislead nobody, but we just working.”
News of a reunion spread quickly when a status update was posted on Pusha T’s official Facebook fan page stating, “It’s coming…” Along with the caption was a picture of Pusha and fellow Clipse member No Malice and with it a link to a KarenCivil.com story titled “Clipse End Hiatus, Set to Release Independent Album?”
Although the My Name Is My Name rapper may not be working on a Clipse comeback, he has put in time in the studio with longtime collaborators The Neptunes. Comprised of producers Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, The Neptunes worked with the Clipse on their debut album Lord Willin’ and a handful of other projects.
Pusha T described his work in the studio with Pharrell and Chad as “incredible” and revealed that both producers have perfected their craft since he last worked with the duo.
“Since I’ve been back in there with them it’s been incredible. Just having the both of them in the studio is something I haven’t been through in a while,” Pusha said. “Pharrell right now is on another level. He’s on another level. With Chad it’s just like he’s coming through with the old Chad sonics and just the technical aspect of it. He’s just teaching us stuff like left and right. And it’s been good.”
Prior to commenting on his work with The Neptunes and a Clipse reunion, Pusha commented on his solo album, My Name Is My Name. According to the Virginia Beach emcee, there isn’t anything on his solo debut he would change.
“No, I’m pretty happy with it. I like it,” he said. “And I listen to it like I listen to the four fathers of rap. When I listen to a Reasonable Doubt album. When I listen to a Rakim album…Just in length and just in how it really harnesses the mood, I feel like I nailed it.”
Pusha T is currently slated to take part in the Canadian leg of his MNIMN Tour. As part of the tour, the rapper is scheduled to make stops in Vancouver, Toronto, Canada, and more beginning on January 28.
yooooo wtf i thought it was happening pushhhhhhhhh
Why shoot down something that the fans have been obviously wanting… Look at Outkast. Fans rejoiced when they heard of the 40-stop tour. We know you’re on your Pusha T shit right now, but a Clipse reunion would be crazy.

I’m a big Pusha T fan but the 2nd half of his album is just OK…. 7/10 overall but definitely NOT classic…. unfortunately
“And I listen to it like I listen to the four fathers of rap.” I mean who edits this, a four year old? I believe he said forefathers not four fathers. This is the plot line from lethal weapon 4! I’m getting to old for this shit! Smh
Bitch, get off my dick! You grammar nazis are SO annoying.
Lol, I know right. I’m sitting here wondering the who the other two fathers are.
there wouldnt be a need for grammar nazis if niggas spelled shit right

Clipse would bomb hard with that release. None of their albums have ever connected with audiences.

it didnt seem like he had much conviction at all when he shot the idea down.. in the video… that no one watched.
they should do a 10-12 disc or w.e it would amount to when u think about all the scenerios of the streets.. drugs, fiends, friends, cars, woman ect ect and have 1 verse (pusha) talkin about the perks n bragging half then malice come in give the downside to it and why you should stay clear..
both would stay in their own lanes an dmake a hot album tellin both sides of the life that’s usually only one sided in any album
just put good music out when its ready. it took him a couple years to put out a mediocre album he dubbed himself as classic. he should stop playing mind game passive aggressive hints and put out quality shit or people are gonna stop checking for him. lord willin was dope af. hell hath no fury was an underrated classic. other than that, its been mostly mediocrity with some dope features
