Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have returned to the lab, and are beginning work on their next project.

The follow-up to the duo’s late 2012 album, The Heist, which spawned hits “Thrift Shop,” “Same Love,” and “Can’t Hold Us,” is now in its early stages.

Macklemore revealed the news by taking to Instagram and posting a picture with the caption, “Very happy to be back in the lab with this guy…. @ryanlewis”:

Though no details were offered up, Ryan Lewis offered hints of the duo collaborating again back in December:

In addition to going platinum in the United States, The Heist earned Macklemore & Ryan Lewis nominations for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

In November of law year, the duo’s manager, Zach Quillen, announced that they would be going on a hiatus.
