Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Begin Work On Next Album

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have returned to the lab, and are beginning work on their next project.

The follow-up to the duo’s late 2012 album, The Heist, which spawned hits “Thrift Shop,” “Same Love,” and “Can’t Hold Us,” is now in its early stages.

Macklemore revealed the news by taking to Instagram and posting a picture with the caption, “Very happy to be back in the lab with this guy…. @ryanlewis”:

Though no details were offered up, Ryan Lewis offered hints of the duo collaborating again back in December:

In addition to going platinum in the United States, The Heist earned Macklemore & Ryan Lewis nominations for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

In November of law year, the duo’s manager, Zach Quillen, announced that they would be going on a hiatus.

    1. oh man, hopefully they will be forgotten. fucking homo couple.
      annoying music and shit rapper.

ill wipe my ass with their albums.

    2. Fuck this site. Done with this bullshit. Try to read comments to see other people’s opinions and input and it’s just a bunch of bullshit spam, trolls & removed comments. DX must have a grade school fan base or something. There’s better sites with a better community anyways. PEACE!

    3. No shade but they won’t be as popular anymore as they are now. Most white rappers don’t make it past 2 albums before they fizzle out. Bubba Spraxx, Asher Roth are just two examples but they need to enjoy it now because it won’t happen again

    4. Thank God. I was getting sick of the talentless club bangers with sing along hooks and verses about selling drugs, killing, and selling more drugs. This is all rappers rap about these days. Macklemore offers a much needed break from the trash. I could care less if you agree or not.

    5. Actually enjoyed some of Macklemores old songs, then the album was just bullsh*t about gays and dumb sh*t. Thats what you have to do to win things, be politically correct. Hate it

      1. ” the album was just bullsh*t about gays and dumb sh*t. ”

i never heard the album but i’m pretty sure 1 song was about gay rights or whatever, not the whole album
