Continuing to break new ground for hip-hop artists the Black Eyed Peas will re-record new tracks from their new album “Monkey Business” to be exclusively used for Electronic Arts’(EA) new video game “The Urbz: Sims in the City”. The game which is a highly successful computer game will now be making the jump to the Microsoft Xbox and Sony Playstation 2 later this year.
Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas will also be a musical consultant on the game as well as appear in the game alongside the other members Fergie, Taboo and apl.de.ap as musicians teaching the players social moves and reputation enhancing techniques. “I’m a huge ‘Sims’ fan and see the franchise developing into a lot more than just a game in the near future,” will.i.am told Billboard. “As a huge gaming fan as well, I see this as a way to do something really unique with our upcoming album and provide another way for our fans to enjoy our music.” The Black Eyed Peas new album “Monkey Business” hits stores in November.
