“I’ve been under the wings, playing it the right way at Nike and everything but I’ve wanted to create more and not been able to create more for no reason,” Kanye West said during an interview with Chicago’s Stylz & Roman radio show, as per allhiphop.com. “I have a new product partner with adidas. I just got back from Germany yesterday and it was one of the greatest creative days of my life.”

Earlier this month, Kanye West’s partnership with adidas was announced.

“For 2014, we welcome to the adidas family one of the most influential cultural icons of this generation, Kanye West,” adidas said in a December 3 statement, as per MTV. “Well known for breaking boundaries across music, film and design and partnering with our history in street wear culture and leading innovations in sport, we look forward to creating a new chapter. Details to follow.”

Prior to signing with adidas, West worked with Nike on the Air Yeezy. In the past month, West has openly critical of Nike and its CEO, Mark Parker.

“They tried to make it as small as possible,” West said during a recent concert, as per MTV. “Mark Parker even talked shit, talking about, ‘We don’t even know why people like the Yeezys.”
