A$AP Ferg released his debut album, Trap Lord, this year. In a recent interview with Montreality, Ferg spoke about his upcoming and current efforts.

“The L.O.R.D. album, most definitely looking forward to doing that,” said Ferg of A$AP Mob’s oft-delayed album. “We’re working on it now. I got Trap Lord in stores now… ‘Shabba Ranks’ remix is on iTunes, as well as ‘Work’ remix.”

Ferg was asked about Pharrell, who has collaborated with A$AP Rocky on the  “Pretty Flacko Remix.” “Pharrell, he’s like the godfather,” said Ferg. “The gem he gave me was he told me, ‘Keep goin’,’ and he said, ‘I got the next album; don’t leave me out.’ That’s what he told me. I’m looking forward to him, and I marked his words on that one.”

Finally, Ferg spoke about various industry co-signs he’s received. “Drake is like my big brother,” he said. “He co-signed me, and he was one of the first people to put me on tour with him. That was actually the first ever tour that I been on, the Drake tour. You know, I give a lot of props to him for doing that. Another person is 2 Chainz. We don’t talk on the phone all the time, but we do see each other, we have deep conversations. We both striving to be better people and better artists.”

A$AP Ferg saved a special shout-out for his fellow A$AP Mob member, A$AP Rocky. “And I would have to say Rocky, which is another person, he’s like my big brother. He’s only a couple days older than me. We’re both Libras, born in October, and I just want to thank him for bringing me into this game and give me the opportunity to make some money, and make something of myself.”
