Mac Miller says that he and Pharrell will resume working on their Pink Slime project soon.
“We actually just talked a couple days ago,” Mac Miller says during an interview with Rolling Stone. “I’m going to go see him [in Miami] and we’re going to finish it and put it out. Because the shit’s ill and people want it. We both had pretty wild years. We gotta do it.”
Mac Miller first mentioned the project in June 4, 2012 on Twitter.
The duo released the song “Onaroll” the next day.

In April, Miller said he needed to work on his own material before he resumed working with Pharrell.
“The Pink Slime with Pharrell was the next move for awhile,” Miller said at the time. “So I was going down there [to Miami, Florida]. We were working. I just realized it wasn’t time to do that yet, the Pharrell project. Before I take my brand and mix it with Pharrell’s, I want to solidify what my brand is first. So I want to do my album first.”
Now that Miller released his Watching Movies With The Sound Off album in June, he says it won’t take long for the two to complete Pink Slime.
“All we gotta do it sit down for a few days and knock out songs,” Miller said to Rolling Stone, adding that he enjoys recording in Miami. “It’s refreshing. [In L.A.] I’m in this dungeon, my little cave that’s this weird-ass looking place that I just live in. And then to go to Miami, it’s just so nice to see natural light and a pool and happy things. It’s good.”
