During an appearance on Philadelphia’s Power 99, G.O.O.D. Music emcee Kanye West shared a handful of details about his upcoming projects.

According to the Chicago rapper, a Cruel Winter compilation album is something those at G.O.O.D. Music have considered, he hopes to release another solo album by next summer, and lastly, he revealed that he’s “constantly working” with Jay Z although the duo have not recorded any records for a Watch The Throne follow-up. Ye also shared that he’s working on a remix with pop star Miley Cyrus.

“We thinking about dropping a Cruel Winter,” said Kanye. “And I’d like to put out more product. I’d like to have another album out by next summer. I’m like going to the studio soon as we leave here. I got this remix that I did with Miley Cyrus. I ain’t jumping on the train. If I like an artist, I do what I [want].

“We’re constantly working,” he added, in regards to Jay Z. “We haven’t made any songs for it yet. But we gon’ see what’s gonna happen. And I’ll tell you my main focus is to get this product line out and it’s gonna come out next September.”

The Windy City wordsmith also spoke briefly on fellow G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T and referenced the career of Miami rapper Rick Ross while explaining Pusha’s gradual rise.

“It just takes time,” he said. “I mean, he’ gotta—Like Ross, he just kept on dropping albums every summer, every summer, every summer, and then he caught that ‘BMF’ and he became Rick Ross. That’s what it was. And Pusha he’s gonna get there. He’s gonna get that spot eventually…I just think he needs to be consistent and just one of those—one of them will work.”

Kanye, who at one point in the interview referred to himself as a “Christian revolutionary visionary,” also addressed the addition of white Jesus to his Yeezus tour and his tour merchandise, specifically the Confederate flag t-shirt.

“Even like the Confederate flag, it’s not even a statement about racism,” said Ye. “It’s a statement that you can do what you want. You can take what you want. You can say what you want. Just like when we say the n-word on the radio, but just like that you can take anything. Anything can be yours. So, with the mask it’s the opportunity for me to even like turn up on a performance because I don’t have to be self-conscious about ‘Did I get a haircut? Did I get this?’ I can just give people everything I got.

“It’s funny how powerful that is because it’s funny even white people come up to me and say like ‘Yo, that’s white Jesus,’” he added. “But that’s what we grew up on was white Jesus. But we never called him ‘white Jesus’ and when we see a black Jesus or a Jesus that looks more like what the Bible describes, we call him ‘black Jesus.’ When really that’s what the Bible describes. So, I just flipped it.”

Kanye later commented on the offensiveness of Hip Hop and offered his thoughts on his Yeezus track, New Slaves, calling the song a record with the “strongest verses” in Hip Hop history.

“Hip Hop is offensive and Hip Hop is like what you feel like saying and that’s the reason why I made ‘New Slaves’ and claim that it’s the strongest verses of Hip Hop history…Raised in a time on things that relate to black crimes particularly to create new forms of slave labor,” he said. “So, what I want to do—I started with the superficial, psychological form of slavery. Just being a slave to fashion.”

Despite a handful of rescheduled tour dates, Kanye is currently back on the road for his Yeezus tour, which was briefly postponed due to damaged tour equipment. This week, the tour will make stops in Miami and Tampa, Florida.
