Maino Threatens Trinidad James; James Responds

Trinidad James claimed that Atlanta runs New York Rap during a concert in Brooklyn, New York this week. News of this surfaced Wednesday (November 13) and several rappers responded, including Action Bronson, Hopsin and Bun B. Maino also responded to James’ comments. He did so by threatening the rapper in a series of Twitter updates. 

After Maino’s tweets, Trinidad James responded.

Trinidad James also posted the following on his Instagram in response to Maino.

“Maino wanna shoot me for saying the truth then shoot on. I ain’t backtracking shit. Ny consumers are a disgrace to their own culture. I don’t ever have to make it on the radio ever. Fuck the radio. Eminem Has Eight Albums On The Charts This Week

Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album sold more than 793,000 copies in its first week. However, that was not the only Eminem album that sold well this week.

Aside from opening at #1 with The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem had 7 other projects make the charts years after their release dates. For instance, 2000’s The Marshall Mathers LP, which landed at #30 this week, sold more than 10,000 copies this week. The project has sold more than 10,766,000 units to date. Eminem’s 2002 album The Eminem Show, landing at #58, sold just under 7,000 copies this week. That album has moved more than 10,270,000 units to date. Eminem’s 2010 release Recovery sold more than 6,000 copies this week, landing at #64, bringing its total up to 4,508,000 to date. Eminem’s Curtain Call compilation, which took the #94 slot sold more than 5,000 for the week. To date, Curtain Call has sold more than 3,778,000 copies. Eminem’s 1999 release The Slim Shady LP nabbed the #115 spot this week, selling more than 4,000 copies. The project has moved more than 5,433,000 units to date. Eminem’s 2004 album, Encore, at #158 this week, sold more than 3,000 copies. Encore has sold approximately 5,343,000 units overall. Eminem’s 2009 project Relapse, #159 this week, sold more than 3,000 copies. Relapse has sold more than 2,335,000 units to date.  

Eminem Sets Billboard Record For A Solo Act

This week, Eminem took the #1 spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Eminem, who released his The Marshall Mathers LP 2 November 5, placed at least four songs in the Top 20 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart as a lead artist, something that has not been achieved since 1964 when The Beatles accomplished this feat. 

Eminem’s Rihanna-assisted “The Monster” was #3 on the Hot 100 chart. “Berzerk,” “Survival” and “Rap God” landed at #15, 16, and 17, respectively.

“The Monster” marks Eminem’s first #1 song on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart.

In 1964, The Beatles had “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Twist and Shout,” “She Loves You,” “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “Please Please Me” and “I Saw Her Standing There” among the Top 20. The following week, the group had “Do You Want to Know a Secret” in the Top 20. The track replaced “I Saw Her Standing There.”
