The re-release of the Notorious B.I.G’s “Ready To Die” remains number one on the top of the Billboard Top R&B/ Hip-Hop Catalog Charts. The digitally re-mastered CD/DVD sold over 60,000 units in its first week and has now taken the top selling spot from Bob Marley and the Wailers as the biggest selling catalog album. The original CD sold over 8 million copies since its release in 1994.
Taking his “Vote or Die” message to the Democratic Convention in Boston last week, P. Diddy grabbed more than future voters attention. “No matter what anybody tells you”, Reverend Al Sharpton said, “the real deal is what Puffy said ‘Vote or Die’. Your life could be at stake”. Diddy moved around the Boston Fleet Center meeting with everyone from Ben Affleck to Bill Clinton. Diddy plans to also make an appearance at the Republican Convention in New York City later this month.
