The second annual Odd Future Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival came and went with expected unpredictability. Odd Future’s actions in general often fall under the category of surprising–like last week when Tyler, The Creator criticized YouTube at the YouTube Awards Show.

Saturday was no different. During the group’s set, Tyler, The Creator brought out Kanye West as the Grammy Award-winning producer/rapper performed “Late” (from West’s Late Registration album) and “New Slaves” (from his recently released Yeezus LP).

While on-stage, Kanye said that he had not performed “Late” in six years. West initially had problems remembering the words to the song and was assisted by Tyler, who knew the song word for word.

The two artists have publicly displayed their admiration for each other in the past. Kanye recently called Tyler a “mentor” to him. West said the Odd Future headman’s Mountain Dew commercial ban was “the best thing that happened in the past year.”
