Brown’s representative released a statement about the musician’s rehabilitation plans.

Brown and his bodyguard were charged with simple assault in the recent fight, which reportedly took place October 27. Brown reportedly spent 36 hours in a Washington jail for the altercation. He was taken to court in shackles Monday. Brown was released and ordered to report to his probation officer within 48 hours, as per cnn.com.
Brown’s legal woes have been an issue in his career since at least February 2009, when Brown assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The incident resulted in a felony domestic violence conviction. He also violated his probation in August due to unfulfilled community service hours, as per cnn.com.
A probation status hearing for Brown has been set for November 20.
