Suffering From Success features an array of artists, including Diddy, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, T.I., Swizz Beatz, Wiz Khalifa and Wale, among others.

DJ Khaled promoted Suffering From Success in several ways. In July, Khaled proposed to Nicki Minaj with a $500,000 ring in what was later revealed to be a joke made to promote his “I Wanna Be With You” single. More recently Khaled promoted the album by riding around Harlem, New York while standing on top of a tour bus with a megaphone. As he yelled at people on the streets about the album, several street team members walked around the bus holding up life-sized cardboard cutouts of DJ Khaled featuring information regarding Suffering From Success on them.

DJ Khaled has been speaking about this album for months. In February, Khaled described the project’s sound.

“What separates [Suffering From Success from previous albums] is that I made it to my seventh album,” he said. “After Kiss the Ring, I’m a winner. So I’ma continue winning, but when I was coming up, I didn’t know that when you win, you gotta deal with a lot of this unnecessary bullshit a lot. So my album sound is going to… You’re going to hear different types of anthems: the suffering side, and the success side.”
