According to Ma$e, the collection will be influenced by his early freestyles and songs. The project may also be influenced by The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death, Tupac’s All Eyez On Me and Jay Z’s Reasonable Doubt, according to Ma$e.

Ma$e released several albums through Bad Boy Entertainment before leaving the imprint, including 1997’s Harlem World, 2000’s Double Up and 2004’s Welcome Back. Between the last two albums, Ma$e left music to focus on becoming a pastor.

Ma$e has been at odds with his former Bad Boy boss, Diddy, for years due to contractual issues. However, the two appeared to reconcile during an OVO Fest performance in August
