Green-Label.com released its list of “DJs You Should Know” today (October 17). Among the artists listed were A-Trak and Major Lazer, both of whom have Hip Hop roots.
“At 15, A-Trak became the world’s youngest winner of Technics / DMC World Championship, a title he would reclaim in 2000,” Green-Label says of the deejay and producer, who recently teamed up with Run-DMC and adidas to record an interactive music video. “In 2004, Kanye West took A-Trak on as his personal tour DJ. He appeared with Yeezy at numerous high-profile award shows, and even recorded scratches on Kanye’s 2005 album, Late Registration, and his 2007 release, Graduation. He released a stream of his Tuna Melt (Remixes) EP in March.”
Initially a collaboration with deejay-producer Switch, Major Lazer is one of Diplo’s monikers. Major Lazer has worked with Beastie Boys and Tyga, among others.

Green-Label also listed Skrillex signees Seven Lions and MONSTA. Last year, Skrillex collaborated with A$AP Rocky, Wale, and Kanye West, and has plans to work with RiFF RaFF.
