Kendrick Lamar’s reported 2013 BET cypher freestyle turned a lot of heads when it was interpreted by many that he dissed Drake in the bars that were recently released.

Recently sitting down with Vlad TV, Kendrick’s labelmate ScHoolboy Q (who was also seen in the background of the video) said he wasn’t sure that Kendrick Lamar dissed Drake and that he couldn’t speak for the Compton, California rapper.

“I didn’t know he went at Drake,” ScHoolboy said when asked about the reported diss. “I mean, I can’t speak for him, like I don’t know like, that’s what people saying he went at Drake. We recorded that a long time ago. I don’t know, but then we just did that. I don’t know what’s going on so I don’t want to speak on it too much.”

When asked about whether he was afraid that K Dot might come after him in a competitive fashion, ScHoolboy Q said that Kendrick wouldn’t do it because it’s something that has already happened.

“No, I mean he already did it,” Q said. “He already called, he wouldn’t recreate that same thing over again. Once it’s done once over, you’ve got to move on and keep creating. That’s why he is who he is.”

ScHoolboy Q is preparing for the release of his major label debut album, Oxymoron. No confirmed release date has yet been announced. The first single from the album, “Yay Yay,” was released in March. ScHoolboy Q recently performed the song at A3C in Atlanta.
