Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have been nominated in three out of five categories announced today (October 10). The duo is nominated for Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year, a nod they earned for their hit Wans-assisted “Thrift Shop,” which was a Hot 100 chart-topper for six weeks this year. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis had other singles, including their Ray Dalton-assisted “Can’t Hold Us,” which charted at #1 for five weeks in May and June, as per billboard.com. Their other single, “Same Love,” ranked as high as #11 on the charts.

Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake were also named as Artist of the Year nominees.

Robin Thicke’s T.I. and Pharrell-asisted “Blurred Lines” is another nominee for Song of the Year. Joining “Thrift Shop” and “Blurred Lines” is “Cruise,” which was a remix crafted by Nelly and Florida Georgia Line.  The video to “Cruise” can be viewed below.

Phillip Phillips, Imagine Dragons and Ariana Grande are among the other New Artist nominees.
