Pusha T has released the video for “Sweet Serenade,” a song off his upcoming album, My Name is My Name

The video, released today (October 7), features Pusha T sitting on a chair at the beach. This matches Pusha’s lyrics on the song,  where the rapper says he “came from the bottom / No one said it would be fair / Now, I’m on this money / Lounging like it’s a beach chair.”

The clip also includes Chris Brown, who appears on the track’s chorus.

In a HipHopDX interview published today, Pusha T spoke about the qualities his upcoming album, My Name is My Name

“I just think that it’s different episodes of my life,” Pusha said in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “You know, I really pride myself in making street, Hip Hop music. I felt like, that was sort of needed, and I felt like that was the void that was missing in Hip Hop. There’s lot of great Hip Hop out there, but as far as street, Hip Hop goes, I can’t really say there’s a true spokesman for it like myself. So, that’s how I’m looking at it.

“I just speak, and I speak from the perspective of a conscious dopeboy,” Pusha continued. “At the end of the day, it’s like, giving people my perspective and letting them know my true thought process. I don’t really know if people really look at me as a conscious person. I think they hear a lot of gratuitous raps, they hear a lot of bragging and things like that; but I feel like this being my solo project, I can honestly give you my full, full, perspective.”

Pusha T previously released two other videos for songs from My Name is My Name, including “King Push” and “Nosestalgia.”
