When Birdman announced Paris Hilton’s addition to the Cash Money Records roster in May, some wondered if the singer’s placement on the imprint was a good fit for the record label. Birdman recently addressed those concerns during an interview with MTV.
“We’re hustlers, we love money and she’s already great, I think,” Birdman said in an interview with MTV. “We’re music and when we put that combination together, it’s special. We turned something good into something great. When she came and played her music for me, I was taken away. I was excited. I was surprised. I didn’t know what to expect when I first heard it, but when I heard it I was like it was something I’d love to work with.”
Paris Hilton’s upcoming album is set to feature the Lil Wayne-assisted single “Good Time.” Birdman was asked whether other artists on the imprint would also be involved in Hilton’s upcoming album.
“Soon as she’s ready, whenever she reach out and the song fit, then we gon’ make it happen,” Birdman said. “I believe in teamwork and we all look after each other. Whenever she’s ready, whoever she want on the roster, that’s available for her, anytime.”
