ScHoolboy Q’s upcoming Oxymoron album is set to feature different two different themes. Recently, Q revealed information regarding these themes.
“I’ve never said this in an interview,” ScHoolboy Q says in a video released by Life+Times. “This album is about me taking care of my daughter and Crip history from 1969 to present.”
The topic of fatherhood is something ScHoolboy Q has discussed. In June 2013, ScHoolboy Q spoke with HipHopDX about his relationship with his daughter.
“She’s been knowing [this] since she was born,” ScHoolboy Q said in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “Every time I walk out the house, she asks, ‘Where you going, the studio?’ It’s the first thing she say. She don’t say, ‘You ‘bout to go with the homies? You ‘bout to get some weed?’ She say, ‘Where you ‘bout to go, the studio?’ I’m kind of proud of that.”

During the HipHopDX interview, ScHoolboy Q also revealed how he felt about raising his daughter.
“I haven’t even raised my daughter yet,” he said. “She’s four years old. That’s how long I’ve been grinding, trying to get to this spot.”
The thematic news regarding Oxymoron sheds more light on a much-discussed, highly-anticipated project from TDE. In March 2013, Q promised that the album would “definitely” drop this year. “It’ll probably be out in a few months,” said Q to MTV News. “We gon’ get these singles right, get ’em together and place everything in order. Then we gon’ get it crackin’ from there. I haven’t leaked a record yet, so I don’t wanna say too much yet until I leak the record. But Oxymoron is definitely coming this year and we gon’ have some fun.”
Oxymoron has been reportedly delayed due to “sample clearances,” according to reports from July 2013.
