After Danny Brown said he believed Old would “never come out,” the album’s cover art and release date have been announced. In August, Brown complained about Fool’s Gold, the label releasing the project. Brown alsothreatened to leak the album himself.
“Man #OLD fuck around and never come out … Smh,” the emcee said in a Twitter post, referring to his forthcoming album, Old. This followed a year-long discussion about the collection. “I’ma fuck around and leak that shit myself if niggas don’t get it together.”
Days after criticizing the label, Danny Brown announced the release date for his album in a tweet.

Also today, R.A. The Rugged Man criticized the album’s cover art because of similarities he finds between Old and the cover art for Rugged Man’s album,Legends Never Die.
Brown responded to Rugged Man with a statement via Twitter.

UPDATE: Danny Brown has released a teaser video for his album Old. The teaser includes a list of guest rappers and featured producers. The album is set to include appearances by A$AP Rocky, ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul, among others. The album is also slated to include production from A-Trak, Oh No and Rustie, among others. The teaser can be viewed below, via Fool’s Gold.
