Pop superstar Lady Gaga spoke on the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet moments ago (August 25). The onetime Akon protege-turned-Pop icon confirmed an unusual collaboration in the works. After working with label-mates Kendrick Lamar last year on “Bitch, Don’t Kill Mt Vibe LG Remix” and Wale on 2009’s “Chillin’,” Gaga confirmed to Sway Calloway that she will work with Oakland, California Hip Hop pioneer Too Short.

Sparse on details, Gaga simply mentioned the onetime Jive Records star’s name when asked about collaborations. Gaga’s third solo album, Artpop, is planned for release later this year.

Outside of the Hip Hop genre, Too Short has worked with Parliament Funkadelic, Avant and TQ.
