Jay Z is scheduled to perform at the Yasalam After-Race concert November 1 at Abu Dhabi’s du Arena, according to gulfnews.com, which bills itself as “the Middle East’s biggest selling English newspaper.”
The site says that Jigga’s upcoming performance in the United Arab Emirates will be the Brooklyn, New York rapper’s first appearance in the Middle East. Hova’s concert is slated to take place on the Friday night of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, as per gulfnews.com.
“Jay [Z] is the biggest Rap mogul and music icon on this planet,” Mike Fairburn, Flash Entertainment’s vice president marketing and communications, told tabloid!, as per gulfnews.com. “He was an obvious choice. Booking artists of high [caliber] is important since Abu Dhabi is one of the top circuits in the world.”
Other artists scheduled to perform during Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend are British rock band Muse, English electronic music group Depeche Mode and Arab acts Amr Diab, Elissa and Hussain Al Jassmi, according to gulfnews.com.

The Yasalam After-Race concerts are exclusively for F1 ticket and invitation holders, according to the story. Short for Formula 1, F1 is the highest class of single-seater auto racing sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
