“I’ve been taking a break for like 23 years,” Kendrick Lamar says in the preview of the documentary that will reportedly be released soon via Life+Times. “Now it’s time for me to man up and really do what I planned on doing.”

Jay Rock also talks about his childhood goals in the clip.

“Growing up in my neighborhood,” Rock says, “I always had a thing for music and dreamed of being big.”

The Made in America Festival will also feature several other acts, including A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. It is scheduled to take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway over Labor Day Weekend (August 31-September 1).
