Lil Reese Arrested For Drug Possession

The legal woes for Glory Boyz Entertainment artists continue. The Chicago Tribune reported that yesterday (July 13) that local artist Lil Reese was arrested for possession of marijuana. The 20-year-old Glory Boyz/Def Jam Records artist was arrested on a sidewalk in the Englewood section of the city with a reported four grams of the controlled substance. According to the Trib’s reports, this violates Reese’s probation.

A police report added that the major label rapper had over $2,000 cash on his person. The report quoted Reese’s explanation of the cash as “It’s mine, I got a little weed. So what?” He was said to add: “There’s serious crime out there. This ain’t a big deal. I’m gangster.”

In April of this year, Reese was cuffed by police when he was found asleep in an automobile. At the time, there was an outstanding warrant for the rapper’s arrest. Earlier that month, Reese was stopped and taken in for driving without a driver’s license or car insurance. He was initially charged with grand theft auto due to his failure to provide information on the car.

Both incidents followed 2012 news of a video surfacing that depicted Reese apparently attacking a woman.

He was ordered to be held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
