Less than two months ago, Chicago, Illinois rapper Chief Keef teamed with Atlanta, Georgia-based Gucci Mane to form 1017 Glo Gang. The 1017 Brick Squad/Glory Boyz partnership has already prompted several collaborations, and confirmation that the Interscope Records-backed Keef will appear on Gucci’s forthcoming Brick Squad Big Money Talk compilation.

Now it seems that Chief Keef is hard at work with one of Gucci Mane’s longtime producers, Zaytoven. The San Francisco, California native Zaytoven tweeted that the pair is planning to release what is believed to be called, Birds Of A Feather later this week, on Friday, June 28.

Although Zaytoven called the project an “album,” it is believed to be a free mixtape, due to its Friday release as opposed to Tuesday efforts, typically used in retail. This has not been confirmed by either party, as the producer urged fans to “stay tune [sic]” in his Twitter announcement, last night (June 24).

In addition to producing Gucci’s breakthrough 2005 single “Icy” (featuring Young Jeezy), Zay’ has laced hits such as OJ Da Juiceman’s “Make Tha Trap Say Aye,” and Usher’s “Paper.”
