Jay-Z became a father last year. Now 12 of the rapping mogul’s most popular songs have been turned into lullabies. Rockabye Baby!’s Lullaby Renditions of Jay-Z reworks such Hova selections as “Empire State of Mind,” “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)” and “Big Pimpin'” into lullabies. The album is slated for a July 9 release.

The new versions of Jigga’s songs are delivered with xylophones, bells and flutes. Jay-Z-themed kids’ games are used as liner notes and a recipe for “Big Pumpkin” baby food is also included with the project.

Rockabye Baby! releases a series of baby-friendly Rock and Rap albums and has remade the material of more than 50 artists into lullabies. Other artists who have had material reworked by Rockabye Baby! include Kanye West, Bob Marley and The Beatles. Television host Ellen DeGeneres says the series “puts [kids] to sleep with cool music that you’ll want to hear as well,” according to Rockabye Baby.

The Kanye West Rockabye Baby! album included lullaby renditions of “Gold Digger,” “Stronger” and “Good Life” among its 12 tracks.

Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce are the parents of Blue Ivy Carter, who was born January 7, 2012. Blue Ivy Carter became the youngest person to reach the Billboard charts when Jay-Z’s “Glory,” which featured a recording of Blue Ivy moments after she was born, entered the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B charts at No. 74 days after she was born.
