Veteran instrumental music producer Prefuse 73 (a/k/a Guillermo S. Herren) has worked with artists like MF DOOM, Aesop Rock and Diverse. Now, the maker of 2001’s Vocal Studies & Uprock Narratives has launched his own label, Yellow Year Records, a partnership with photographer Angel Ceballos.

His new imprint has plans for a 12-part EP Speak Soon collaboration series. The series will kick off in June, and plans to include split EPs with the likes of Los Angeles, California-based Kendrick Lamar/Kid Cudi producer Nosaj Thing, and former Now-Again artist Dimlite. Other collaborators will include Teebs, Nathan Fake, Lapalux, and Snykro.
