Chris Brown has a new vocal partner on his next single. The Virginia singer is joined by the late Aaliyah on his forthcoming “They Don’t Know” single, according to Soul Culture.
“I got something special for my fans,” Brown said at the BET Awards 2013 press conference today (May 14). “It’s called ‘They Don’t Know.’ All new stuff that’s never been heard before. It’s something special for all my fans.”
Brown reportedly shot a video for the cut in Los Angeles recently and had a specific angle for the clip. “I shot it in the hood,” he said. “I wanted to bring both worlds together in the video and try to uplift the positive side of the community. I mean I come from Virginia, but everyone come from a broken home or broke. I remember when I was.”
“They Don’t Know” is slated to appear on Brown’s forthcoming X album, which is due July 16 and features the single “Fine China.”
